How are titles selected?

If we like it, we’ll carry it.  If you take a look around our site it has a pretty good representation of artists and books we love.  That being said, if you don’t see anything that resembles your title, don’t be discouraged… We love to discover new people.

In regards to music we are way more selective.  We’re really into ambient, indie, experimental, lo-fi, post punk, punk, art rock, krautrock, electronic.  We highly suggest pointing us to your Bandcamp, SoundCloud, or website to review.

When will I hear back from you?

We are a team of 3 humans but we’re pretty quick to respond.  It will usually take 1 – 7 days to hear back from us after receiving your email or physical copies.

What happens if my book is accepted?

If your work is accepted, you will be contacted by email with a consignment contract and initial order quantity.

Please print the contract and fill out as much bibliographic data and product information as you can and return the contract in the same package as the books.

This will ensure our record of the book is complete and accurate and your product and artist page has all of the information you’d like posted on https://nowave.is.

We advise that you keep a copy for your records, as we are no longer able to return a countersigned contract.

How long are your consignment terms?

The initial consignment term is for 1 year or until your item(s) are sold.   Once the initial term expires (1 year after we receive your items) we will contact you to see how you’d like to move forward.

We can either keep your items in stock under the same terms or new terms, donate your items to the Seattle Public Library, OR return your items.

What happens if my book is not accepted?

Unfortunately we cannot carry every title submitted to us due to very limited retail space.

If your book is not accepted it will be donated to the Seattle Public Library for their annual book sale drive.

What happens to the review copy I submitted?

Single copies submitted for review act as an in-store reading or display copy and are not considered part of the inventory consigned to No Wave.
